WATER TREATMENT
Luster-On is a one-stop shop for all your waste treatment chemistry needs. We produce a range of water treatment chemistry for multiple uses, including and not limited to:
- Reducing soluble metal concentration in waste water generated in metal-finishing operations treating complexed wastewater streams as the main coagulant or in a final polishing
- Reducing sludge volume
- Environmentally safe alternatives to products containing sulfides or carbamates
- Charge neutralization and conditioning
- Breaking of stubborn emulsions
- Fast and effective neutralization and coagulation of suspended solids
- Reacting to flocculate metal hydroxides
- Control of foaming in many wet processing applications
Luster-On applications include inorganic coagulants, cationic polymer/coagulant blends, cationic polymer coagulant, nonionic/anionic polymers, metal precipitants and defoamers.
Water Treatment Chemicals
A ferric chloride/cationic polymer blend used for charge neutralization and conditioning. Concentrations as low as 20-50 ppm may be effective as a sludge dewatering aid, while dosage rates from 100 ppm to 1000 ppm may be necessary for breaking down stubborn emulsions. Actual results of conditioning testing should be used to adjust the dosage rate. Luster-Floc 201 may be fed as a concentrate or may be diluted as desired to suit needs.
Luster-Floc 205
A liquid blend of a medium molecular weight cationic polyelectrolyte and two cationic coagulant materials. Luster-Floc 205 neutralizes ionic charge differentials, complexes chelating agents and absorbs oils and greases into a dense, dewatered floc matrix.
A concentrated medium molecular weight liquid polyacrylamide coagulant that contains no inorganic material. The product will facilitate fast and effective neutralization and coagulation of suspended solids, thus reducing or eliminating the need for inorganic coagulants. Luster-Floc 303 delivers excellent dewatering and sludge reduction. Luster-Floc 303 is utilized in the lower pH range.
Luster-Floc 312
A concentrated high molecular weight liquid polyacrylamide coagulant that contains no inorganic material. The product will facilitate fast and effective neutralization and coagulation of suspended solids, thus reducing or eliminating the need for inorganic coagulants. Luster-Floc 312 delivers excellent dewatering and sludge reduction. Luster-Floc 312 can be utilized in a wide pH range.
A polydimethylsiloxane and silica blend liquid aqueous emulsion for control of foaming in many wet processing applications. The product may be used full strength or cut with water before adding, whichever gives the best dispersion into the foaming system
LUSTER-ON Defoamer 8720
A liquid aqueous emulsion for control of foaming in many wet processing applications. The product may be used full strength or cut with water before adding, whichever gives the best dispersion into the foaming system.
LUSTER-ON Defoamer 8740
A liquid petroleum-based agent that quickly removes foam from many wet processes. Luster-On Defoamer 8740 will not alter wastewater stream characteristics due to its neutral composition.
A liquid proprietary polymerized aluminum/inorganic metal precipitant blend that is effective in reducing sludge volume, compared to traditional inorganic coagulants such as calcium chloride or ferrous sulfate. While Luster-Floc 105 is mildly acidic, additions of Luster-Floc 105 can be made without significantly reducing the pH of the treated effluent. Luster-Floc 105 is an environmentally safe alternative to products containing sulfides or carbamates.
Luster-Floc 106
A liquid proprietary cationic coagulant that is effective in reducing sludge volume, as compared to traditional inorganic coagulants such as calcium chloride or ferrous sulfate. Additions of Luster-Floc 106 can be made without significantly changing the pH of the effluent. The neutral pH makes it suitable for use as a means of charge neutralization and coagulation in final neutralization tanks, as well as in acid and alkaline solutions. Excellent in mixed wastewater streams such as electroplating, e-coat and powder coating.
A 40% sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate aqueous solution used for reducing soluble metal concentration in wastewater generated in metal finishing operations. Luster-On 7634 may be used in conjunction with other flocculating systems.
Luster-On 7638
A highly effective metal precipitant utilizing sulfide technology. Luster-On 7638 can treat complexed wastewater streams as the main coagulant or in a final polishing operation.
A powdered anionic polyelectrolyte that quickly reacts to flocculate metal hydroxides. It is used in the pH range of 7 to 10 to form large dense floc that promotes rapid settling in clarifiers and holding tanks. A dosage rate of 1 to 20 parts per million (ppm) is normal.
Luster-Floc 406 i
A fully hydrated liquid anionic polymer concentrate that quickly reacts to flocculate metal hydroxides. It is used in the pH range of 7 to 11 to form large dense floc that promotes rapid settling in clarifiers and holding tanks. A dosage rate of 20 to 200 ppm is normal.
Luster-Floc 408
An anionic polymer emulsion that quickly reacts to flocculate metal hydroxides. It is used in the pH range of 7 to 11 to form large dense floc that promotes rapid settling in clarifiers and holding tanks. A dosage rate of 0.5 to 20 ppm is normal. Luster-Floc 408 is our most concentrated flocculant.
